The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away ofShri Diptosh Majumdar.

In a condolence message tohis wife, Smt. Rinku Majumdar, the President has said, "I am saddened to learn about the passing away of Shri Diptosh Majumdar.

Shri Majumdar was a well-known journalist who worked in senior positions in print as well as electronic media. He was admired for his integrity, professionalism and ability to go in-depth into stories as well as discover nuances beneath the surface.

In his death, the nation has lost a distinguished media personality.
