The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee will launch a nationwide Information Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign against Malnutrition at a function in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on November 19, 2012.

The Prime Minister's National Council on India's Nutrition Challenges took a decision to launch a nationwide IEC Campaign against malnutrition co-ordinated by the Ministry of Women & Child Development. This Campaign is being launched on 19th November, 2012 to commemorate the birth anniversary of our late Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi. It aims at creating awareness about nutrition challenges, importance of optimal nutrition and mobilising communities to prevent malnutrition.
